Tabor Appeals to Conservative Youth Movement for Support

National College Republican Co-Chair Praises Tabor for Hard Work and Effort

Campaign Note: Our staff was watching Fox News while John Kerry was making a speech on national television on Tuesday. He had to briefly pause and acknowledge the College Republicans standing in front of the podium holding up signs supporting Bush. He basically had to stop his speech and then congratulate them on a job well done by saying they were being rude for holding an opposing opinion. We support the College Republicans!

Charlotte, NC ñ Corinne Schwarz, who is the National College Republican Co-Chair, was the special guest of honor at the Tabor for Congress hospitality suite at the NC College Republican Spring Convention this past weekend in Charlotte. Schwarz, who served as State Chairman of the Wyoming Federation of College Republicans from the spring of 2001 until April of 2003 and currently chairs the College Republican National Committee's (CRNC) Women's Caucus, was very supportive of Nathan Tabor and his bid for Congress.

The Tabor campaign opened the hospitality suite following the gubernatorial forum on Friday evening where over 50 students attended.

Nathan Tabor, candidate for North Carolinaís 5th Congressional District, said that he was honored to have Schwarz as a guest and was excited about the impact young people are having in the conservative movement. ìIt is because of leaders like Corinne and our local College Republicans that we can be assured that this election and those to come will be spearheaded by conservative activists. The College Republicans are vital to our party and for the fight to reduce the size of government. These are the true believers,î said Tabor.

Tabor was involved with the College Republicans while in school. He served as College Republican Co-chairman of St. Andrews Presbyterian College, 1992-1996. He was also on the advance grassroots team for President George H.W. Bush's Train stop tour through NC in 1992.

Schwarz said the College Republicans needed to support their alumni because they know what it is like to fight in the trenches. ìCollege Republicans need to support our own. They know what it is like to fight the left at ground zero. Nathan is certainly a true conservative who will fight for what we believe in when elected. I want to wish him well and urge you (College Republicans in attendance) to support him.î
